Details: This is the standard 5/8"-11 backing pad recommended for use with 4-1/2" COOLCUT and TOPCUT resin fiber sanding discs from WALTER Surface Technologies. These orange backing pads are designed to provide moderate flexibility to support operations ranging from heavy weld removal and blending all the way to finishing on curved surfaces. These backing pads are made of high quality, impact resistant plastic and provide excellent heat dissipation to extend the life of your sanding discs. These backing pads are NOT recommended for use with COOLCUT XX or other ceramic sanding discs. For those applications, use a TURBO backing pad (15M044 or 15M045).
